- Free stroke risk screenings will be held on May 3 in Somerset Medical Center’s Fuld Auditorium. On May 17, they will be held at Somerset Medical Center’s Family Practice, Suite 1100.
- The screening will include blood pressure, total cholesterol/HDL and glucose testing and carotid artery and heart rate evaluations. Fasting is not required.

2013 Step Up For The Arc Walk & 5K Run

- Step Up For The Arc is an annual statewide Walkathon of The Arc, the state’s largest non-profit advocacy and service organization supporting people with developmental disabilities and their families.
- The event includes a 1.5 mile fun walk and sanctioned Grand Prix (500 pts) 5K race on a flat, paved, and scenic course.
- Registration fees of $20/Runner, $18/USATF Runner, $15/Student Runner, and $10/Walker are waived if you raise $50 or more. All ages are welcome!

Benefit Concert by Handbell Choir and Brass Quintet

- The Raritan Ringers, a choir of advanced handbell ringers from communities in north central New Jersey, and the Madison Brass, one of the state’s premier brass quintets, will present a benefit concert of music ranging from classical pieces to show tunes. All of the proceeds will go to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
