Apple Picking…..an Autumn Ritual

There’s something about walking through rows of hundreds of bright green trees full of sweet red, yellow and green apples. Reaching into the scraggly branches and picking your own apples is the perfect autumn ritual.

My children and I have been meeting our friends every year at the same orchard, filling our baskets with fresh apples and fun memories.

There are many local farms and orchards that offer apple picking in our area. Often, these farms sell homemade treats like fresh cider and apple donuts. Some offer hayrides and playgrounds.
